Terms & Conditions

Website use, enquiries, and how these terms interact with a formal legal engagement.

1. Who we are

“Collins Quarters”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Collins Quarters International and its related practices operating in Australia, India, and Malaysia, as described on our website. Specific practising entities and responsible lawyers are confirmed in client correspondence and engagement documentation.

2. Not legal advice

All website content (including articles, FAQs, location pages, and automated summaries) is general information. It is not legal advice and must not be relied on as a substitute for obtaining advice about your specific situation.

Contacting us, submitting a form, or booking a consultation does not, by itself, establish a solicitor–client (or equivalent) relationship. A relationship arises only when we have agreed to act for you in writing (or as otherwise required in the relevant jurisdiction).

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the site in any way that is unlawful, harassing, discriminatory, or harmful;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, accounts, or data;
  • scrape, harvest, or automate access in a way that impairs site operation or breaches our robots policy;
  • misrepresent your identity or authority when contacting us.

4. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise indicated, we own or license the copyright and other rights in this website and its content. You may browse and print reasonable extracts for personal, non-commercial use. You must not copy, republish, or exploit our content commercially without our prior written consent.

5. Third-party links and tools

The site may link to third-party websites, calendars, payment processors, or analytics tools. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Use of third-party services is subject to their terms.

6. Paid consultations and other services

Where you purchase a fixed-fee paid consultation or similar product offered on this website, additional terms apply as set out at checkout and in our Cancellation Policy and Refund Policy.

Full legal services are governed by a separate engagement letter or costs agreement (including where the Legal Profession Uniform Law (Victoria) or other regulatory costs-disclosure requirements apply).

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for loss or damage arising from use of this website or reliance on its general content, except where liability cannot be excluded (for example, under the Australian Consumer Law).

Nothing in these terms limits any rights you may have that cannot lawfully be limited.

8. Privacy

Our collection and handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will be published on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms, except where prohibited by law.

10. Governing law

These website terms are governed by the laws in force in Victoria, Australia. Courts in Victoria have non-exclusive jurisdiction. Engagements for work in other jurisdictions may be subject to separate governing law provisions in your engagement letter.
